Aim to confound modern conventions
Elope, or stare just a little too hard
Listen to the alternative beat of birds
Or bright pounding of feet on brick
Furrow your brow when you should laugh
Snort when you should smile
Smile when you should cry
And carry on knowing that you have satisfied
The Will to be courageous, to be bold
You've entered a world where you reign
And others have to cope in their conventional
Modern ways (whatever modern means)
Don't take pleasure when they squirm
It's not worth it is it now
Maybe you can share what you've experienced
Oh come on, you don't need coaxing
Give it a try, please, for me
